It was a nice day today so we decided to have a little shop BBQ today for lunch

Well this is how we say goodbye to the guys in our shop when they are getting ready to move on to the next base. We all get together and hit up a resteraunt, then go out and have a good time.

Climbing at Kunsan, Korea

We did a little climbing/repelling training on Friday. Everyone was nervous at first but it turned out to be a good day. check out the pics.

Went and checked out some Rice Art and house that was the center of a anime movie

We went to check out the rice art first. It was pretty cool! They used different types of rice to make the shapes and colors.

this is a better picture of the one on the left.

i couldn't really get a good picture of the one on the right because the place i was viewing from didn't go over there, so here was the best i could get.

So then we went to a house that was the center of a very famous anime artist's movie. His name is Hayao Miyazaki.

And there is a garden outside as well.

Izakaya Time!!!

Well i went up to my brother in-laws house to help clean up a little for obon. Then we went to an izakaya to eat and drink. It was good times!

Miss Veedol Beach

We went to Miss Veedol Beach today with a friend of ours, Cole. There were good times had by all!

We even brought the dogs out to play. But the sand was really hot so most of the time they just chilled in the shade.

The plane named Miss Veedol was the first to cross the pacific non stop. They started from Misawa and crash landed in East Wenatchee, Washington. This is one of Misawa's claims to fame and they have a replica at one of their beaches named, Miss Veedol Beach.

Minako and I just chilled out and smoked some of Cole's hooka. Ohhhhhh yeah! and of course drank a few beers.

And there were even some people there surfing! Was pretty cool to watch

I would say it made for a DAMN GOOD Sunday!

Went to the Nebuta Festival today!

Me and Minako went to the nebuta festival today! It was alright. i guess once you go to one festival in japan they are all pretty much the same. But there were really a ton of people there trying to see the parade and fireworks. It really suprised me!

I am glad we opted to leave a little early on the reserved only train, rather than trying to smash into the express train that was probably standing room only.

We also ate at this really good little izakaya place. it mostly only had dishes that had to do with fish but it was really good! Had a couple grape chu-hi there as well.
